Blended Cross-Border Challenge for Sustainable Cities in Latin America: An innovative teaching and learning strategy

Join us for an engaging breakout session during UNESCO’s Digital Week, where we will delve into the outcomes of the Erasmus+ INVITE project. This groundbreaking initiative has focused on developing essential competencies for virtual and blended international collaborations in higher education, particularly in addressing urban sustainability challenges. Through this project, students from an international alliance have collaborated to create innovative solutions in the areas of the circular economy, sustainable tourism, and urban agriculture.

During the session, we will discuss the teaching and learning strategies that were employed, emphasizing the project’s success and the impactful results achieved by the students. Additionally, we will share valuable insights and practical resources for organizing blended intensive programs, such as hackathons, in international and intercultural blended settings. This session will provide a unique opportunity for educators, researchers, and professionals interested in sustainable urban development and collaborative learning.
